Laura Bárcena received her degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2001. After that she
received two consecutives research grants to work in two different research centers (namely GAIKER and INSHT). Then at 2005 she entered CIC bioGUNE as research
technician. She worked in the Proteomics unit during four years, then moved to the Functional Genomics Unit for another two years and in 2011 she joined the Genome Analysis Platform.
